If you own the WKO4+ software from Training Peaks, you probably know it lacked analytics for swimming, or at least had very few meaningful swimming-centric pre-made charts. Not anymore. Training Peaks just pushed out about 70 new charts for the software. Most of them revolve around swimming and triathlon planning.
If you don’t have a copy of WKO4+ and you own all the latest GPS and power metering devices, you should really check out the program. You can find it here.
Some of the new swimming charts break down pacing by swim stroke (assuming you use a device like a Garmin 935), Best Swim Paces, Stroke Count by Pace and Best Paces at Race Pace.
In addition to the new swimming-related charts, you will find charts pertaining to de-training rates in both cycling and running, swim/run/bike weekly percentage breakdowns and most importantly, duration models and power reports showing your ideal training zones.
It really is a great update and finally moves the software to be much more triathlon-friendly from where it was, mainly geared towards cycling.
